Frank was a friend to be valued, he dedicated his life to helping others both in the course of his work and in private. Well known for his love of cricket and enjoyment of village life he was a popular member of the community both during his career as our village policeman and after. Rest in peace Frank you will be missed by many.

George and I got to know Frank nearly 50 years ago when he was village policeman for Catsfield and Crowhurst. One of the ‘old school’ he was loved and respected by everyone and would often stop for a chat and cup of tea. He had time to listen to any problems, was wonderful with children and young people and we considered him a true friend. A lovely man who will be greatly missed and always remembered. Valerie Mighall

When I have moved beyond you in the adventure of life,
Gather in some pleasant place and there remember me
With spoken words, old and new.
Let a tear if you will, but let a smile come quickly
For I have loved the laughter of life.
